This is "the" Technical Guide for Bike Fitters, at any level of expertise. Originally published in 1997, it was the first Manual that dealt with Bike Fit from the front view (Z-plane). This Manual is a three ringed binder with over 10 chapters dedicated to all aspects of the sport - Road, Mtn, Track, Time Trial/Triathlon & indoor group cycling. Cleat Placement, Saddle Placement, Stem/Handlebar placement and Time Trial/Triathlon positioning are all covered. Contributions from John Cobb. Edited by Dr. Andrew Pruitt and Dr. Robert Mohr. The Manual is a component of the Bicycle Fitting System.

Self-leveling Laser & Knee Dot Straps

Knee Dot Straps & Sticker Dots
Black velcro closed elastic Knee Dot Straps are used to visually mark the tibial tuberosity (bump directly below the knee cap). Used in conjuction with a laser line to facilitate the frontal view (Z-plane) of dynamic pedaling action of the athlete. These work great over tights, with sweaty and/or hairy-legged athletes (unlike stickers) without leaving a permanent mark (unlike a pen).
Adhesive Sticker Dots are placed over the second toe on the front outside of the shoe.

ForeFoot Measuring Device (FFMD)
A Paul Swift-designed product. Place this tool on the bottom of the foot to gauge forefoot tilt and determine the number and angle of Cleat Wedges. Stainless Steel construction. Measures 5-3/4" in length to 8-3/4" when extended. The FFMD is a standard component of the Bicycle Fitting System.

This is another "standard" in Bike Fit -- the cycling-specific, color coded goniometer. A Paul Swift design. Use the new Bike Fit Systems Goniometer to easily and quickly determine joint and body position angles.
