Featured Cyclist

Sherry is one of our favorite cyclists. We had the wonderful opportunity of working with Sherry and helping her achieve her goal to complete STP - Seattle to Portland. SHE DID IT and we are very proud of her. I would see Sherry periodically on the Burke Gilman Trail here in Seattle. Then we ran into her, or she ran into us, not sure which exactly, at the Seattle Bike Expo. She talked about her goals and mentioned a few things that were bothering her on her rides. Long story short, but we met a few times. Her fit did take a few efforts but things eventually fell into place.

Sherry is special in many ways, but here is one of the reasons why she is an inspiration to us at Bike Fit Systems. I believe the doctors told her not to ride a bicycle. She has epilepsy. She refused to listen to the doctors. She did however modify things to make sure she could still achieve her cycling goals. Sherry can ride an upright bicycle with no problem, but she never knows when she may have a seizure, so Sherry rides a trike. She told me she has had a seizure on her bike, but refuses to let it get in the way.
